BBC News | Presenter & Correspondent Reshuffles

I've often wondered for radio presenters with names which have non obvious spellings, do they set up aliases for common misspellings? Eg does sarah.cox@bbc.co.uk work as well as Sara.cox to avoid having to spell it out on air?

Our local presenter on BBC 3CR Roberto Perrone has on occasion spelt his Surname on air reminding people it’s not spelt the same way as the beer

Unusual to see Huw Edwards fronting the BBC One bulletins on a Sunday evening - I'm assuming the result of the Easter break changing presenta rotas.

I think it must be a bit like the Christmas rota, all sorts of big names will pop up at odd times.

Or a fairly big story coming out of Sri Lanka...

I wonder if Huw has been doing election rehearsals this afternoon so had to be at work anyway, in which case staying for the bulletins probably allows him to save a days holiday or fulfil one of his contracted shifts for little extra work.

Or another reason why Huw did yesterday's BBC1 Bulletins (and why Simon McCoy appears to have worked a double shift today)-Clive Myrie has been sent to Colombo.

Indeed Simon was on the news channel at 9 this morning. I presume he actually took a break and didn't carry into the afternoon?

Now he's on with tonight's 10.

He's putting the hours in before the next Royal Sprog comes along...

No he finished at 13:20 (after the News at One and when Lukwesa took over on the NC) and went back on air at 18:30 for the early evening bulletin.

Another one putting in the hours is Ben Bland he was on the Briefing, then he presented the business on GMT, Impact, Talking Business in the afternoons, and now he’s back again in the evening presenting Newsday!
