It's unfortunate the BBC doesn't think there's a need for a correspondent in the Philippines. Duterte, the South China Sea dispute and Islamist extremism. It also has a significant English-speaking population. Out of the big three international broadcasters the BBC is noticeably absent there.

Which are the other two? CNN and...? Al Jazeera?

Yep. Jamela Alindogan for Al Jazeera English, and CNN has CNN Philipines there.

Jonah Fisher has been appointed Kiev Correspondent, moving from Myanmar.

Tom Burridge has returned to London from Kiev.

No replacement yet as far as I can tell in Myanmar.

Quite surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here already but Susanna Reid and Bill Turnbull were re-united the other week on GMB when he was a guest on the show.

They had already reunited for the first time earlier in the year where more of a big deal was made about reuniting.

Martin Patience has moved from Lagos to Beirut. Stephanie Hegarty has taken his place in Lagos.

There continues to be a monthly posting to Seoul by various correspondents, with no full time correspondent having been posted since Stephen Evans left the BBC.
