Hopefully the mods will give this new studio the new thread it deserves. The nicest new BBC News set in many years, and looks quite versatile too by changing the desk position and how the screens are used. So much nicer than what they had before.

That set looks lovely, and I like the title board, even though it's sans any reference to BBC News.

During the 22:00 airing, the BBC WN logo appeared in the intro, if you are referring to the titles.

They also changed the music for the first time on 13 years. I don´t like the new headline bed at all.

The music:

Like others have said, I like the BBC News logo on the desk and along the “corridors” of the “offices” behind.

I think the studio looks like a work by Clickspring Design, who also designed the sets of NBC Nightly News and the TODAY Show…

This image on Twitter gives an insight of how the new set fits into the space:

That's the first thing I thought when I saw it this morning - Clickspring! That desk is very CNN. Generally like it though, might even be a taste/tease of what's to come when they start refreshing NBH.

Set looks lovely, but the titles are a little uninspiring, the music even more so. David Lowe’s recent themes don’t seem to have much originality - whether that’s coming from him or his brief I don’t know, but there was a chance here to really push the pips and drums into a new place, with an American touch. A shame really.

Looks good. Will be interesting to see how it's used during the US election. I recall in 2012 the BBC used VR to increase the apparent height of the studio on election night.

Regarding the desk. It's almost certainly designed by Clickspring, or inspired from one of their designs. If you zoom in, you'll notice it appears to have the ability to extend, akin to the Newsroom set at Hudson Yards. There is certainly an extension to the right side of the image and perhaps another to the left.

Of course they're uninspiring when based on a package from 12 years ago but they're a decent effort within the confines of the package and a definitive improvement visually at least.

I'd love that set over here.

Nice new set, completely different from the usual BBC News style which is good to see.

But sadly no matter how much you rework the BBC News theme it isn’t going to sound any fresher, and I think each slightly modified version proves that.
