So I noticed on the Business Briefing the Aston they used during the opening was “Wroom Wroom” talking about the NY International Car Show about effects Trumps policies on the auto industry. Is Wroom Wroom the normal way of spelling the sound of an engine in the UK? In the US and a lot of other parts it seems it’s more Vroom Vroom.
I’m sure it is ‘vroom vroom’ in the UK too. Unless it was a clever play on words related to Volkswagen for the German pronunciation of ‘w’.
Matthew tweeted back that Studio B was in use for Election rehearsals, so they all moved to Studio C for the day. Global and Focus on Africa.
Guess since it was a English local election they weren’t planning anything big but since it turned into a EU they may not have had time for Elstree.
Chris Cook just told me we’ll be in Studio C for 2 weeks! Yay!!
The 17:00 hour should have become an extra edition of OS to allow the NC to continue to use C. Martine currently in A with a supposedly generic bulletin albeit with the five titles.
World Business Report came entirely from the New York studio this evening with Samira Hussain in the chair and Michelle Fleury at the Motor Show providing additional input.
Talking Business with Aaron Heslehurst also came from Studio C earlier in the day, presented today by Ben Bland.

The Film Review looked awful today in A. Couldn't they have done it from E since the main bulletin isn't until 6:30? Although I'm not sure if they could logistically do the Film Review from E?

Yes, if this is ongoing for the next 2 weeks they really should tell World they have the choice of A or the OS screen (or Washington) for the 17:00 hour on Fridays as the five and film review are significantly more important than a world summary.

If the rehearsals in B are for domestic coverage and World have already been relocated is it really fair that they should be shifted to A?
In reality what is happening is everyone is using their backup studios (I believe they've setup every programme to be able to come from at least two studios) and so is giving opportunity to develop some familiarity while minimising the on air impact.

Id have thought an hour of news including a 15 minute segment that is repeated almost every other hour for the next 3 days would be more important than a 24 minute summary that is usually presented entirely from the desk. Monday to Thursday when there is a full hour of global it probably does make sense for world to use C but the use of A should really be kept to a minimum so on Friday afternoons when world is prerecorded for half of the hour and providing a more basic service during the live parts it makes sense for them to use the studio that is less than ideal.
