Is Christian Fraser currently broadcasting from C for Beyond 100 Days?
The lighting from his pictures does seem to be a little darker than usual.
Just on Beyond 100 Days there; they had four live split screens when talking about Brexit. The four screens they had there had look kind of interesting seeing them as the viewer. Does having them top to bottom instead make them better or worse in you view?
Hard Talk has moved from 20:30 to 22:30, making way for a new edition of Sport Today.
Viewers on BBC World News now see the full 21:30 edition of Outside Source as it no longer breaks away from the news channel to show Sport Today.
The 22:30 edition of Hard Talk replaces to second World News America programme - which was always just a carbon copy of the first half hour anyway. The exception being the North America and Latin America feeds which maintain the two editions.
Isn't the second edition on PBS as well anyway?
So does that mean two galleries at BH are managing live programmes for World News at the same time?
HARDtalk was never broadcasted through any of the studio galleries in BH on WN. Instead, it was directly played out by Red Bee Pres, the playout gallery of WN.
Red Bee Pres has a system that allows regional variations by sending their respective feeds to the regions' satellites. In this case the North America region will take Studio C's feed for WNA and other regions will take Red Bee Pres playout for HARDtalk.
Having watched the North American feed recently, it is interesting the volume of adverts compared to the European version... online pet food, property websites etc.

Well advertising on the North America feed is dirt cheap. It’s a easy way to reach the “affluent” audience they tout.
It’s also worth noting that the North American feed is only going to two or three countries and its likely easier for advertisers to target the audience. Chances are some of the products or travel advertised would likely be of interest both US and Canadian audiences. While the European feed goes to over a dozen countries making advertising much more difficult.
Since when did they start doing news reviews on weekends. Tanya Beckett is hosting the 0500 GMT half hour and they spent about the last ten minutes doing a news review which seemed to focus on Brexit. Maybe it’s a one off.

I’d like to see a comparison of all the different feeds World News has. North America seems to deviate most from the schedule with different programs and likely special broadcasts for PBS simulcasts. Additionally there are programs advertised or teased during broadcasts or breaks that never air here. Some programs don’t air due to rights issues as well. I forgot but one entire series couldn’t air on World News because Al Jazeera America had the rights even though it was a BBC show and commission.

I don't have access to all the BBC World News regional variations due to geographical restrictions, but I've did something similar in experiment capturing one of the junctions leading to the BOTH programme of the Europe and Asia Pacific feed as shown below: (Watch in fullscreen!)
On the main screen you'll see the Europe SD feed taken from Eutelsat Hot Bird 13B, while on the top right you'll see the Asia Pacific HD feed from Intelsat 19. The video was taken from 2018/03/18 1730 GMT. At that timeslot, the Europe region had Politics Europe for the BOTH programming while other regions had Newsnight. You'll see how Red Bee Pres handle these regional variations in aspect of weather reports, commercial breaks, and recorded programmes in this video.
