Actually when London were in Studio A a few weekends ago when the NC was in Studio D, they were using the London backdrop that World News have been using today rather than the old newsroom background they used when they previously used A before D came online.

So the move was due to "weekend engineering works" as Ben put it on his twitter. Below is the tweet and a video of him doing "the huw".
I rarely present in the @BBCOne main bulletins studio - last night it was due to weekend engineering works. And when in Rome (or Rhondda)... #dothehuw

It's not very often i catch BBC World News but every time I catch a simulcast or something, there always seems to be someone new presenting!

I don’t know why they can’t use this one that World News America has when they (rarely) come from LA.
Can we stop pretending this virtual studio looks ok?

Maybe it was me but I thought the camera dolly’s in C looked a bit different. Like they upgraded to the newer model.
Hopefully they fix the audio, robotic cameras and the funny coloured light boxes in Studio C.

I wonder where Newsday will be broadcast from, if Studio C isn't open for them in time. I'd like to see a Newsday broadcast from Studio E, as A would make very little sense and E most resembles C, with only the difference being a newsroom backdrop

Newsday begins at 23:00 BST on World. Would the NC have a bulletin and The Papers at that time in Studio E?
I think Newsday might be with just Rico Hizon from Singapore if the engineering works in Studio C are not finished on time.
We will know in the next 35 minutes what happens with Newsday.

Normally NC is finished with the papers at 10.45pm, with a 15 min filler of Meet the Author. That would give Lukwesa time to shift to an alternate studio for a 30 minute news bulletin and time for the Newsday crew to set up in E. In some exceptional cases, they have just replayed the previous papers bulletin at 11.30pm, instead of broadcasting a new edition.
But as you said, we will see soon how they will present it...
