So we don't know what the set in that bottom image will be used for then?

So we don't know where that is then?

I thought recent assumptions were that this was World News' 'own' set (as opposed to whatever they get when they use Studio B)...?

WOW!! If that's what WN is getting then surely this will beat anything around the world at the moment?

Well as it's confined to this smallish glass box, I'm not expecting wonders...

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Nothing at W1 is 'confined' to a particular space as such.

Greg you are the biggest most annoying tease in the entire universe. Laughing

So I'm guessing 'confined' has been put in the quote marks because they have done away with the glass walls we see in the image above.

Oh and for the record... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WORLD NEWS SET Very Happy

Remember that we have also been told that the studios are a base and to expect some strands to come from different studios to the base.

Many thanks for info. Now for some questions.

Would the virtual studio be used for Elections and stuff?

Interesting that the 6 will come from Newsroom studio as well. What about rehearsal time? Would News Channel move to Studio B?

Is Studio C therefore a newsroom studio? Will Studios B and C use Barcos?

Its all up for grabs!
The idea is that the previous posts are the 'Base' for each service - think of the studios as a suite of studios servicing all output, so expect some world strands to come from B (i.e.: GMT/Hub) thus channel could come from C while 6 prepare.
Channel could come from A (in a VR world) or something else. Or the 5 hour could come from B.
VR could record HardTalk and Newswatch - as well as doing PTC's and Election VR - its all possible and won't work the same as it does now - its a brave new world - and everything changes.

The look will be themed - it will be fully interchangeable - and will be able to flex up and down - dependent on programme requirements.

Yes. I like. It's approved!

Hope we don't have too much of standing-up news though!!

Is the channel being renamed BBC Global News, or is that just a promo thing?

Thanks Bogaboy19 for the excellent link.

Anytime!. BTW, cannot wait till seeing the real deal!

I could see that World News set being used for something like the UK Elections or the US Elections in the future...
