How many cameras can you fit into a tiny studio?

With reference to my long rambling post above, I wasn't imagining things after all.

Dug out this foto from a few pages back, and the column that I saw last night is evident on the extreme left hand side in the twitpic link above.

Have never seen or used on a bulletin before, other than last night. Does it change colour with the programme theme, one wonders?

I 'believe' that's always been there, I'm sure I've seen it a couple of times I've been round N8...

Maybe it was a report on the Wikipedia black out.

This past weekend on BBC News summary, was no opening titles, only the presenter.

I guess that's an advantage of having cameramen on the studio floor rather than remote cameras.

Congratulations to Martine Dennis and Jamie Robertson, who have just managed to give us a perfect extro from The World Today. Tidy summary of the headlines, quick mention of what's coming up in the next hour, plus a tidy cheerio, long sweeping shot of the studio and a very extended version of the closing theme music.

Ah. Bliss. That's how it should be done!

5000th post!

Peter Dobbie is back on The Hub tonight. The new camera work that they're using now in N8, whilst a pleasant change, is also a bit too much during some broadcasts. So much movement at the moment, Peter appears to be breakdancing!

Anyway, cheers and here's to the next 5 thousand and here's hoping that we get to see more of some of my World favorites in the coming months. Being Lyse Doucet, Tanya Beckett, Adam Parsons, David Eades, Peter Dobbie and Nisha Pillai.

Come back, Nisha!
