Oops. The back wallpaper on the split-screen graphics on World Have Your Say just now was wrong. Initially, they used The Hub wallpaper, and then Sports World Have Your Say, and lastly, the correct one.

All I can say is basically Singapore needs a new studio! How awful and cheap does this look?!

How much of that is seen on screen? Yes it needs a technical refit, a touch up on the set, but there's not much you can do nor do they need to do with such a small amount of space...

The current triple-header of Ros Atkins, Russell Fuller and Matt Gooderick just goes to demonstrate how versatile N8 is, and the newly updated use of new lighting and camera operator makes the whole N8 experience much better than the News Channel's boring static set.

I have to say, N8 is looking great at the moment and is remarkably fresh.

Looks absolutely fine to me, and looks to be one of the better equipped news bureaus that I've seen !

You'd be horrified by some of the London remote outfits foreign broadcasters have, judging by your reaction to BBC Singapore !

I used to think CNN Hong Kong was bad but compared to this it's like Sky News headquarters, especially after the last changes they made.

For the level of content they are being asked to produce from Singapore, 20 editions of Newsday per week which are probably logistically more challenging than a single headed bulletin, and however many million editions of World/Asia Business Report they add content to, they are definitely overdue for not only a refit, but expansion of their current studio facilities. From what i can see they contribute more to the newsday (pardon the pun) than Washington.

Lets face it, the current Singapore studio is an embarrassment.

it's the desk that's the worst part of it. Where the hell did they get it from? It doesn't match any desk we've ever seen on BBC News and looks completely out of place.

I mean, even if they just got a new desk and de-1999ify the rest of the set, it'd be better.

"And now on BBC World News, current affairs, in Newsnight, with Emily Maitlis."

Who had remarkably turned into Kirsty Wark by the time we'd gotten to the studio.

How wrong could I have been. Pooneh Ghodoosi is on the BBC World mid shift now. She's very good indeed, although I guess this is the first time she's done the weekend from the main desk.

And.......now we have Sonjia McLaughlan presenting Sports Today. This is now the third different spelling of her name I've seen this week.

Sonja. Sonjia. Sonia.

Lucky her. Hope you guys are all well.

James. Jaymes. Jaimes.
