Strange name strap on The Hub just now. During a report from Bali, a guests name appeared in the top left hand corner of the screen, where the clock or live bug normally is placed. It was a smaller white box, but still with the two tiers of text, being his name on the top line in bold, and his designation in the lower line in feint text.

Just an error?

This has happened on Breakfast before. I've got a picture somewhere - I'll see if I can find it.

I've seen this before. I wonder if when entering the persons name etc they also have to associate it with an aston style and perhaps it's just an error that slipped through the net.

Here we are. Obviously a while ago because it's prior to the 2009 relaunch of Breakfast.

Apologies I don't know who took the cap originally.

Yes, Chris. That's exactly what I saw a couple of days ago. Thanks for posting, I guess it's a simple case of text being laid onto the wrong key on a keyboard?

I think it's just a case of there's simple text boxes in which to enter the strap text and a template is selected, and the wrong one got selected.

The one seen here (and I assume which you saw, James) is usually the credit tag "Pictures from Sky Sports" etc.

N9 again today, with the same bloody awful lighting again as last week. Don't know why they can't get the lighting right. Exactly the same as last week: background well lit, foreground including the presenter: poorly lit, although it is even worse on the angled shot of the set.

Now, where's aconnell and his capture device.............?

I actually prefer the studio N9 when it's lit this way. Feels darker and more cosy.

Blooper at 00:00 GMT with Mike Embley. Recently minutes ago, he choked in the headlines.

I've had that happen to me loads of times. Must be horrible to have it happen in that situation.

Is there any reason why this Dobbie chap couldn't do a bulletin for World himself, or why didn't the TOTH go straight from the titles to Tim, seeing he is known on both NC & World, & him saying along the lines of 'Welcome to BBC News live from London, broadcasting around the world'?

It just looked messy, according to that clip.
