I don't like that mini set World uses for 9-13 cet bulletins and also news updates later in the day. It's small, clustered, the background is boring and the presenter looks strange sitting there with their legs visible in wide shots.
I agree. And I don't watch BBC World News, but how they manage to squeeze Tim and whoever the sports/business presenter is on to that tiny little bar table every hour is beyond me.
For short news updates it's great but I don't understand why they use it for 4 hours of news bulletins in the late morning, a big part of daytime schedule. The main set should be used for that like before.
The Hub tonight was hosted by the stupendous Lyse Doucet and Adam Parsons. However, the DOG changed for a while into the GMT logo, as opposed to The Hub.

Now, Juliette Foster with biz.
What a great line up tonight.
Oh, and a big afro was on earlier as well.
You mentioned Adam Parsons though, didn't you, and you said a great line up. This doesn't add up for me!
Actually, they were very good. Adam is actually fitting-in very well on the channel. I would actually rather watch him than Tim, for example.
Gasp!
Tim has gone way down in my estimations today. Wearing jeans to read the news (especially in front of a global audience) is bang out of order and just goes to show he is far too relaxed as a news anchor.
Adam is improving with time and effort, in my opinion. Much better than when he first started. I like his style - relaxed but not too laid back. Let's hope he makes more appearances over time, and over Tim!

For all you know he could have spilt something on his suit trousers and the jeans were all he had. His attire hardly proves he's "far too relaxed". If anything I think Tim is very professional.

Hmmm, maybe I was a bit over the top there in my post. I was just surprised to see him wearing jeans in that caption posted above, and you're right maybe he did spill something on his suit trousers. If anything, I'll retract myself and say he hasn't gone down in my estimations, I still think he's the most professional and mobile news anchor I've ever seen!
I never tire of thinking how old these graphics are, and how far away from the BBC News branding they are. What is their excuse?! Why are their graphics so awful, and also very bad picture quality?
Good old Sharanjit and Rico just have to persevere with them I suppose.
