Rumours started on this forum I think... there has been no confirmation of whether the News Channel will get it, and based on the fact that it is mainly BBC Worldwide money (and not the liscence fee) that has paid for the building I would think that BBC World News would get first choice on what studio they wanted.

...at this stage it is all speculation. But with the newsroom lighting fixtures now under construction, we can be fairly sure there will be a move and a rebrand within the next 12 months.

Why a rebrand? I think we'll be having the same presentation as it's uniform across all the outputs. If we're lucky maybe a few 'updates' but nothing revolutionary.

It was confirmed in the Broadcasting House forum by Kevin Bakhurst several months back that the newsroom set is for News Channel.

Didn't know that BBC Worldwide paid for building. What more do you know about this? It has never been reported before. I wonder why?!

This is the current plan, but it could be subject to change:

Studio A - Virtual

Studio B - Newsnight / Marr / Pol Show

Studio C - World News

Studio D - BBC London

Studio E - News Channel / 1/ 6/ 10

A - D are in the basement - E is on the ground floor backing onto the Newsroom
