The version of World you can see from inside TV Centre (which I assume may be the one you're watching) is known as 'World Core' - I think the one where other broadcasters insert their own bits. I've not been up to the Broadcast Centre for a while, but the playout suite used to generate 9 or so different streams of World, some of which had regional ads in place of the breakfiller, and some of which had regional variations.
Sometimes, when they're not simulcasting, N8 will continue with some news while 'World Core' goes to a breakfiller. I'm sure it makes sense to someone!

Really interesting to watch World and NC side by side during the 1am hour, I am surprised World viewers put up with all the breaks for trailers. Is there anywhere in the world where local broadcasters are inserting their own adverts still?
