We are very much used to seeing Lyse Doucet sent out to anchor from location. But seems strange to see her anchoring from somewhere in Europe, in today's case, Lisbon.
The event is a NATO summit however and very much focussed on Afganistan. Hence the link with Lyse.
It's just strange to see her without her flack jacket and headscarf.
- Impact Asia is now called only "Impact". Since when? And - AFAIK, today is the first edition of "Impact". And was anchored by Geeta, and not Mishal. With Dobster doing the news.
I think it was just right to change the name, because Mishal always say something like this during Open, ever since the start of the program...
"... With the stories that maters
from across the globe.
" not Asia.
Just watching the BBC News channel, and noticed that this morning's World News America was coming from N8 at Television Centre, London - with Madeline Morris; presented in a similar style to GMT with a stand-up TOTH.

When was Thanksgiving? I got really confused seeing it from London as well.

Hello everyone, don't want to be rude, but up until recently I was watching BBC World News on openonlinetv.com, but this seems to have stopped working. If you're in the UK and have a good link to watch BBC World News, then please send it to me - it would be much appreciated.

So, I wonder who will take over from Jonathan Charles in February on The World Today slot? Sad to hear that JC is leaving the BBC.
Well, this morning Kirsty Lang did his 5am shift with Sally Bundock. I must say she was very good, and I would prefer to see her there on a Mon-Wed, and Martine Dennis Thu-Fri, for instance, than her current World News Today slot.
I'm just watching it through now on the BBC iPlayer, and Kirsty laughed for virtually the whole thing - Sally even cracked a joke about Jonathan, and they managed to finish with a whole 15 seconds to spare - a miracle for that newspaper review. A big thumbs up from me!
