Well there we have it. This explains the orchestra.

An new, more extensive tour of Broadcasting House with Lucky Hockings is now airing on BBC World, as a news item.

Bit of an unusual, half-arsed launch this isn't it.

No new set/studio - new to World, but we're all familiar with it through Marr, Sunday Politics and Newsnight - but the graphics, titles and music are going to be tweaked.

How long before Studio C goes on air - that's what I'm really looking forward to.

So basically your first point is null.

I think studio C won't go live until 0300 cet post Newsday shift. But I guess we'll get to see it on WBT today.

Nik Goving on the late morning shift, I was hoping there would be a bigger presentera reshuffle with dual presentation in some slots. Wonder what will David Eads do now, there's a lot slots to cover I guess.

Did Lucy just said that there will be more BBC WS Foreign Language services that will have TV operations?

Not standalone TV services, just that they'd be utilising the featured studio to record content.

A tour of TVC tweeted by Mike Embley.

Some of us are still left, you know!

Incidentally, that film (from 2008 - note the ghost of Savile in it) finishes on the actual foundation stone, somewhere in a sub-basement. There's another just like it in the basement, at the bottom of the South Hall stairs, which you get shown on a tour.

You said that there is no new set, but it's new to World - so it's new, then.

With World visuals and different lighting it looks nothing like Newsnight.

Very busy newsroom behind Nik this morning. Always imagined the newsroom would be empty with most screens turned off during their final TVC shift.

But it's not got any surprises for us.
