Helen Boden has said in an email to staff that NBH will launch on air with 'GMT' at midday on Monday.

You can't trust what she says though can you!?

What's the travel time between BH and TVC? I presume George Alagiah will present GMT then travel across London? Is there anyone else who presents on domestic and international on the same day? Tim Willcox maybe.

Potentially Jon Sopel, but we don't know how much he will be presenting the News Channel once he's got his World News programme.

My money is on "Only when he is covering Major International News" I very much doubt we will see him presenting a shift on BBC News.

Also... do we know if BBC News are switching to Single-headed presentation with the move? and if the presenter of the BBC News at 1 will present the 11am BBC Two bulletin?

From what I've read from insiders on TVF, I think that in the UK, the BBC One simulcasts will be in HD, although the news channels won't be for a bit,

I have wondered about that myself. I assume when BBC Two HD launches we will have the World News bulletins in HD also. Overnights I think will be SD at first. No plans for a HD BBC News Channel have been discussed AFAIK

What will be on at 11:30 GMT on BBC World News under the new schedule? I ask as the BBC Two schedule lists only 'BBC World News' as the programme, after 'BBC News'.

Interesting, wonder why? I presume they want senior presenter Alagiah to open it.

More a case of launching with Studio B

Dear oh dear! I suggest you actually watch the news as well as being interested in how it looks!

She's very lucky to be still in her job after the appalling messes of Saville/McAlpine, where some may say she wasn't exactly forthcoming with the truth.

I think I'm going to prefer Studio C from what I've seen in the promo. Love the cameras.

Message to Staff from Peter Horrocks, director of BBC Global News

BBC World News will be launching from its exciting new studios from NBH on Monday 14 January. This is an important moment for the channel. Every aspect of how the channel is put together has been reviewed: there’s a new schedule, new title sequences, new junctions, refreshed music and a new top-of-the-hour countdown showcasing how presenters and correspondents “live the story”. Most importantly, there will be changes to journalism with significant investments in newsgathering and production. The channel will truly be “the World’s Newsroom”, every day going live in NBH with colleagues from Languages Services, Online and Newsgathering.
