I've not heard anything official about an HD launch, but that's not to say it's not happening! It would require some upgrade work in the Broadcast Centre - and it would probably be mean of me to suggest that's not happened yet because it's not caused any outages in the process
Remember though that the channel was produced in 16:9 for ages before it started being distributed in widescreen.

I don't think the channel is moving to HD as has been suggusted theres no HD frequencies or tests to signal the move to HD.

Interesting. What would be the purpose of releasing a HD version of the trailer as Komla suggested in a tweet last week? Also I recall Kaled10 confirming all news will be shot in HD when the move happens.

He might've just been colloquially referring to a higher quality version, as the video linked in the tweet he responded to was a low quality video captured from an online stream. As for shooting in HD I suppose they could well just be using new HD equipment but leaving the final output unchanged. Though I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

There was much talk of HD when the Olympic News was broadcast in HD... I seem to recall presenters, directors and so on talking about their excitement at the prospect of a full move to HD. And, when the final HD bulletin was broadcast - Kaled10 did say 'goodbye HD for now'.
