Yes, printer is there. I also presume they can keep make up and other personal stuff there instead on stools and mini desks that often make that area behind the desk a mess. Very nice and neat solution.

Example of current mess behind

Really nice... I'm surprised nobody has said anything about the huge HD globe on the left which will no doubt look incredible on screen.

The more I see these studios, the more I think that BBC World News got the better deal where studios are concerned.

How, with the News channel getting the flagship newsroom studio?

We haven't seen any full on shots of Studio E yet, which I'm sure will look even more spectacular.

Indeed it does. Think about the BBC World studio above and imagine a REAL glass window with a view of a REAL newsroom rather than a screen. Looks pretty good from what I've seen.

Doesn't look like Studio C has a screen on it's little curved wall round the desk like Studio E has?

I notice that 'obal' is almost a vertical mirror image of 'opel'

Reckon they'll use that in the titles?

Global Sopel would have been an adequate label, surely?

I was thinking 'Global with Sopel' had a nice ring to it. 'Jon' breaks the rhythm otherwise.

Essentially, this is the replacement for The Hub, is it?

Indeed. Out of all BBC World's programming, presentation-wise, The Hub is probably the last I would have ditched - great music and graphics, and a variation to presenting from the desk. I think Impact's presentation easily needs a complete overhaul.

But of course, this decision would have been made due to editorial reasons rather than presentation, but just thought I'd put my thoughts out there!
