How, with the News channel getting the flagship newsroom studio?

We haven't seen any full on shots of Studio E yet, which I'm sure will look even more spectacular.

Indeed it does. Think about the BBC World studio above and imagine a REAL glass window with a view of a REAL newsroom rather than a screen. Looks pretty good from what I've seen.

Doesn't look like Studio C has a screen on it's little curved wall round the desk like Studio E has?

Jon Sopel's new programme to be called "Global with Jon Sopel" launches 14th January at 1500GMT according to the World News online schedule.

Originally it was called ' Jon Sopel Live'

I notice that 'obal' is almost a vertical mirror image of 'opel'

Reckon they'll use that in the titles?

Global Sopel would have been an adequate label, surely?

I was thinking 'Global with Sopel' had a nice ring to it. 'Jon' breaks the rhythm otherwise.

Essentially, this is the replacement for The Hub, is it?

Indeed. Out of all BBC World's programming, presentation-wise, The Hub is probably the last I would have ditched - great music and graphics, and a variation to presenting from the desk. I think Impact's presentation easily needs a complete overhaul.

But of course, this decision would have been made due to editorial reasons rather than presentation, but just thought I'd put my thoughts out there!
