Maybe just sitting someone in to make the pic look more interesting Wink

They are mixing on the ME bank though which suggests they might be vision mixing. Unless very staged as Marcus suggests. Smile

The lack of camera feeds to the previews for cameras 2, 3, 4 and 6, transmission not matching a TX output and them previewing a banding graphic while transmitting another all indicate an amount of staging going on.

Although those cameras may simply be looking at graphics in one or two of the walls/screens. None of the cameras are cut to output as they have no red light under them in the monitor stack.

Even if they were, the only time you'd do that is when you want to show off a branded monitor stack. And the cameras visible in the camera 1 preview appear to be pointed at the desk.

Neither have any of the other sources, but there's definately something coming out! Smile

Just for the record, that gallery shot was entirely staged. The person sitting at the vision mixing desk is, in reality, a building facilities manager, who just happened to be around at the time. The feeds to the gallery stack were fixed to look good in the shot, and have no significance either.

*gasp*

It looks lovely. It's so much brighter than N8 or N6 are, yet it still looks professional, bright and generally really nice. Can't wait to see it on screen properly!

What a fantastic looking studio - it's so, so much better than N8. Looks like a great home for BBC World.

It does look beautiful, although I'm still surprised they went for the London skyline.

Sorry to be the one to change the mood, but I hate it.

The backdrop is alright, but all those 'floating' plastic rings just cheapen it.

Construction is 10,000 times better than the extant sets at TVC though, which is something. Doesn't look like it's on its last legs or falling apart...
