A lot has been learnt by moving the weekend programmes and Newsnight, so that learning is being put to good use.

Why, have there been issues? Certainly nothing I've noticed on screen.

Thanks for the info Media Boy, but I must admit I'm gutted.

Bit confused why Ross Fitzpatrick - according to his Twitter profile a Lead Director on BBC News - said 10 days ago...

@kaled10: On a far more exciting note - only 3 days at work - followed by 6 days off, When I'm back it's only weeks until the big launches begin .

Next year is just weeks away Very Happy

NBH is completely new so there were bound to be a large number of bugs to be found and issues to be sorted.
You can get away with them for a programme which broadcasts an hour a day, but a 24 hour operation would be very exposed.

You will get plenty of warning when the move happens.

When first reading this I was disappointed but as already mentioned, new year is just weeks ahead, it's already half of November, so it's not as far as it sounds. Very Happy

Looking ahead at the Schedules and the final edition of The Hub will be 11th January. Crying or Very sad

From Monday 14th it will be replaced with Two Editions of BBC World News and one edition of World Business Report and Sport Today.

No Sign of Jon Sopel's new Program Though.

Could this be the day that BBC World News moves to W1?

Whilst the date seems feasable, the online schedule is not reliable this far in advance.

Seeing as how Jon Sopel's move was only announced two and a half weeks ago, its highly doubtful they have decided what his programme is going to be called.

Quite a different business line up on World today. No Sally Bundock or Aaron Heslehurst. Instead we've had Sara Coburn, Phillip Hampshier and Nigel Cassidy in the studio today.

I'm assuming they only took the first ten minutes of the Six while it was all about the Israeli/Gaza Ceasefire that had just been announced. Probably took the Six as it was George so meant having a senior and well known BBC World News presenter covering a major news item and easier from a point of view of getting lives from Tel Aviv etc (i.e. no waiting for the Six to finish with them or vice versa).

They do it when there is a major story. Last year they did the same when Gaddaffii was killed. I assume it's pooling resources. They joined the whole bulletin during the Riots too.
