With all the Entwistle saga going on, will this delay BBC World News' move to NBH?

They really wouldn't want to be seen to be moving into a glitsy new studio and building while everything seems to be going on around them?

I don't think anyone would take that viewpoint - it's a completely different thing really.

The move could still be delayed, but not likely for PR reasons. They may have to consider whether the move is at the top of their list of priorities. If they have to reassign staff to implement any changes enacted by the new DG then it may well be pushed back.

Seeing how its not the last department to move I doubt it makes much difference where the journalists are situated in the short term. The delay may give them the opportunity to refocus on the management structure issues which need to be resolved as soon as possible.

Clearly the departure of the DG could put a spanner in the works - but as I understand it, the clock is really ticking now. World are the first television news channel to go to NBH. If they're delayed - it knocks back the other departments moving. And they'll all have to leave Television Centre pretty soon because the building's been sold.

The most hilarious piece just now on BBC World News... about Cinema Etiquette

It opened with Naga slurping on a new brand of drink...
*

... and during the interview, Aaron Heselhurst was sitting there eating popcorn...
*

...and getting a phone call...

Bizarre. I went to see Skyfall last night and was concious of the noise rustling for popcorn was making during quieter scenes and wondered about this very thing.

Anyhoo, moving on...

What types of seats did they have? Did they all match? Did they show the film in the correct aspect ratio? Was the screen washed out? Who was working on the box office? Was it Steve as I believe he has now worked 7 nights in a row?

We are going a wee bit off course here again, lads and gals. Can we keep on topic issues here on the BBC WORLD NEWS forum feed.

Also, reading few of the past comments, I believe that some users do not realise BBC WORLD NEWS is a television news channel, not BBC NEWS channel presenters reporting on World news stories as some may think.

A majority of users on this forum are from the UK and may not be aware of this which is fair enough, unless you're:-
Up early at 5am
Watch final score
Watch BBC NEWS Channel regularly and wonder why the 2130 summary is different to all the other summaries .

Just to clear thing up folks.

Don't forget all you fans, Johnathan Charles and Sally Bundock at 0550 for the newspaper review.

Who the hell are you to come on here as a new member shouting the odds?

And what's BBC World News gotta do with Final Score?

They may well tune into BBC Two at 1130 or BBC Four at 1900.

I know! Some of us have been members here for almost 12 years and have been watching BBC World for even longer than that. I think everyone here knows the difference between BBC World and BBC News 24/Channel.

I normally get the prize for the occasional silly post of the week. It looks like someone else topped the leader board this time!
