Well the decision has either just been published internally today (to which Marcus has been privy) and will be publicly revealed at a later date; or it's so trivial to most people that it wouldn't necessarily appear in the press. For instance, I don't remember any publicity of Philip Hayton moving from BBC World to BBC News 24 in 2001. Of course, he did get rather a lot of attention when he left in 2005, but that was for totally different reasons!

Shame about the end of 'The Hub'. Great programme and I had seen some very nice shiny new HD graphics for the move to W1 which I guess will never see the light of day on air.

From what I hear, a new countdown and tweaked titles (brighter and sharper with a few new details) are due to launch when they start broadcasting.

Thank goodness regarding the countdown, the current have been one of the biggest mash ups of mess I've seen on a WN countdown.

I think that World viewers should be treated to the Sopel & Maitlis show as well. It seems unfair to them that we should have all the hilarity!

Will this new programme start after the News Channel moves because it says he'll continue his roll as News Channel Presenters and I doubt he'll want to keep going between BH and TVC.

I'd reckon it's more likely he'll disappear from the News Channel for that period, a lot of which will be Christmas anyway. I suspect they'd want the new schedule to launch with the move to BH.

I'm not sure how he can continue in his current slot on the News Channel anyway, as I think they would clash. Sounds like a presenter re-shuffle could be on the way.

Jon will continue to present on the News Channel and BBC1 in addition to his World News role, as well as being deployed on domestic and international live coverage reporting across TV channels and on the web.

Does he still do much on BBC1 now The Politics Show has been replaced? I'm not able to watch the BBC News at One now but I know he has covered that in the past

I can't see how Sopel can do both - on the information we have seen here. I wonder if they will just give him the occasional shift, so when he anchors on location he is still a 'domestic face.' This could mean Ben Brown to afternoons and evenings single headed on the news channel then.

When is the move to BH happening for BBC World News? Wikipedia is still saying October 2012 for the move into the new studios. This would make it tomorrow if it is October.

It will be after the US Elections, so November. We don't have an exact date.
