Heres a video from the GMT feed of the channel from an online stream...

I personally think the modifications to the white boxes is not an improvement but I do like how they've added a BBC Sport type moving background in them... as you can see its just promos promos promos oh and one news and business slide... this is what it was pretty like on my asia pacific feed. I want weather and time check etc back in it...

Finally got to see this and I can say that all the hype met my expectations pretty well. Quite a bold move by World to break off the traditional beeps and boops on the breakfiller music, but I like it. Definitely better than the previous version.

I would prefer to have more News and Markets updates as a breakfiller and not those masses of promos.

I do really like that breakfiller, it's fast paced and I like the graphics. However, I'm wondering two things: a) how many people realise that it is a breakfiller, i.e. a placeholder? b) For those that don't, how watchable is it now that there's so many for 'adverts'/promos?

I think they should do two promos, two info slides and so on. They need to do News, markets, weather, time check, coming up, online, maybe even add sport, and I think they should always finish a breakfiller off with the next/in 30 minutes slide.

Agreed. Particularly as its clock change season, so that some programmes slide around by an hour - it would help with "schedule navigation".

I really like the markets/news music, it's refreshing to hear something a bit different to the usual theme BBC's been stuck with for ages now.

Where are you getting this from by the way? Very curious after news of The Hub and Nik Gowing. You're getting all of the scoops in this thread!

It makes me think that the channel will actually change quite a bit when it moves. Much more than I thought it would.

I think Jon Sopel is a great choice for a World programme - he has that presenting style that can go from very serious to very humourous. Should inject some life into the programme even if it's not that good!

This is great news!!!

Now give us Emily as well please. Very Happy

This move will clearly not be just a change of space, the whole channel is getting a total revamp.

Not questioning his credibility in any measure. Quite the opposite - just curious as to how this information doesn't appear in the press. Is it insider stuff?
