Agreed. It's growing on me.
I like the new breakfiller, music and images are better than the previous one.

I receive the feed for Germany. I am irritated, because the old breakfiller was broadcasted relatively often. Since the new one I have only seen promos.
I've only seen back-to-back promos as part of the filler, rather than the other elements. At least the problems I saw earlier this week with the promos has stopped. Was watching in the evening, and the number of times the last promo failed to play, started late and cut off was remarkable. Before Thursday's Focus on Africa, we got a blank screen during what should have been a promo for World News Today. The signpost element came in from the right and went again, there was a couple of seconds of a Weekend World promo and then it was cut off.

Those five minute programmes are annoying. Watching the back half hour between 8:30pm - 9:00pm UK Time, I thought things have gone downhill.
At 8:30pm, the business headlines with Tanya Beckett
Then 8:31pm, BBC World News Ident
Then World Business Report, repeating the same headlines broadcast a minute earlier, followed by intro music and then the top business story for the third time in 2 minutes. Not much substance to the programme, and hurriedly ended.
At 8:45pm Sport Today, introduced with a continuity announcement with a massive pregnant pause in the middle.
At 8:53pm a rushed ending to Sport Today, just so we can see five minutes of Click.
Could do better.
Well even now World has cut most of it's taped shows, the only stuff that airs in second half hour is WBR, ST and Hardtalk 2 times a day. In the morning they really increased the hours of rolling news, especially with ST gone. I just wish they would drop the short 5 minute segments of their weekend shows that they air before toth.

In Latin America feed from yesterday or before yesterday I saw some elements as Markets (two different backgrounds), headlines (excellent music used a few years ago to promote bbc.com/news). On yesterday morning (0500GMT) there was an error at the beginning of a promo: black screen appear for a few seconds, I quickly realized they were showing the signal GMT. Instead of "News" featured a music and text showing in the Olympic Games. Today I saw the "menu schedule". I have not seen the "next ... in 00 mins".
The music I like it, but that does not have a predetermined order not like. It's a bit disappointing for my level did not improve. comparing huge jump that occurred in 2003.
I do not know if you noticed, but the sound improved ... sounds like "more Surround".
(I used Google Traslator)

Ooh yes! Do you have any new material from the later flags era (1997-2000)? That's one period that's not very well documented online at the moment.

So far I haven't started working on it, but within the next few months I will have a BBC World presentation website online with still captures and a few videos of all things BBC World from the past 10 years. Gives some people something to look forward to I hope haha

Bit of an editorial whoopsie on the BBC Two similcast today. Top story was about a schoolgirl who had been shot by the Taliban and was to fly to the UK for treatment. After the report and a DTL interview with a correspondent from earlier, the presenter (Kirsty Lang) went on to plug a special program about the girls plight broadcasting on BBC World News at three different GMT times, Kirsty was quite hesitant in reading this out as I think she knew that poor BBC Two viewers wouldn't be viewing this documentary any time soon.

Aint the NC got access to the same programme?
