So World, Channel, Persian to name some departments will all go offline or to pre recorded content in the event of a fire alarm.

From the BBC that's not going to look great, lets hope it never happens then, just a thought!

Will someone not be at their Millbank/other studios to fill in for a bit?

If that's the case which channel will broadcast from there? And what about others, some recorded, or will they all use a simulcast?

Well once upon a time it was simple, if practicable to Millbank, if it was a serious emergency until enough things were set up in Birmingham, when N24 and Domestic News would go to Studio B and World would go to A, but that was a serious last resort!

Well that report was thoroughly unilluminating.

Opening titles failed to materialise on World News Today - just got Zeinab staring at her papers whilst standing against the barco wall.

Karin Giannone has just tweeted that she's being taken off The Hub anchor duty tomorrow to help out with preparations over at the new studios. I presume that there's a flurry of sound and visual simulations and checks underway now for the move to BH.

Can't wait.

I still think the Pièce de résistance will be the BBC News channel coming from a live newsroom view studio again.

Karin Giannone suggesting on Twitter that World will be in the new newsroom at BH "in around two months time."

AIUI there are multiple firezones in W1, just as there are at TVC. Therefore if there is a fire alarm (or other evacuation) in one part of the building, another part of the building can continue broadcasting. My understanding is that the studios and galleries are not all in the same firezone.
