I see the colored backdrop lighting in N8 is back with a vengeance today, even sharper and deeper than before. It had been absent for about a week on all the programmes I saw and they ice white backdrop was being used on all bulletins.

Just woke up to a remarkably deep blue WBR with Aaron, and now we are with Martine Dennis for the new news and sports segment and they are using the very red backdrop normally reserved for WNT. The morning bulletins don't normally use any coloring in fact.

I'm going to miss N8.

I had to be up early this morning so caught the 5am TOTH (BST) and N8 looked great. Forgot how nice it is compared to dreary N6. Roll on Broadcasting House!

World is now using the colored lighting panels for the weekend bulletins as well. It's a nice, fresh look. I know I've said it a million times until you're all bored so, but I'm really going to miss N8. It looks fabulous, sweetie.

And now on BBC World, a new Australian man on Sport Today. Who the heck was he?

Here it is, but it wasn't really a tour of studios. They were in the newsroom and later on in the BBC Persian set. I recorded the first part, an interview with BBC World editor who talks about the move.

Thanks very much for capturing that, ginnyfan. It's really appreciated!

Not the most revealing of interviews, and I especially hate the overuse of these vacuous, buzz words: dynamic, engaging. These mean nothing to me. He could have been more clear in his meaning of this, but later on in the interview, he did clear up the visual changes, which sound much more 21st century and forward-thinking. Let's hope we continue to get this drip feed of information and teases in the coming months before the move.

The mention of high-definition is welcomed and hopefully we'll hear more about the implementation of this nearer the move to NBH.
