That's Lund Point directly to the right of the stadium - and the little black box on top is World's studio!

So where is the News Channel's studio near the park? Is it next door?

As thegeek has said, The News Channel is sharing with domestic bulletins, and is in a purpose built studio facility on the top of a residential tower block called Lund Point. Seen in the Background of that image with George Alagiah...

George on the other hand is in an apartment in the Ironworks.

The BBC's Sport Studios are in a temporary structure made from Shipping containers built within the Olympic Park.

Perhaps you could use your powers of deduction. I'm sure you've seen this post, where you can see from Studio A, to the balcony, to another glass box. Or this post, in which I explain the studio facilities in and around Stratford. Or this post, which I made yesterday, including some photos of the studios. You'll note that the views from Studio A and B are remarkably similar to each other - do you think, perhaps, they could be located near each other?

I only asked a question, that shouldn't have really invoked this sort of response.

Focus on Africa has a different presenter tonight. Komla Dumor did the morning 5am slot from Olympic Park. So tonights Focus on Africa is deputised by Sophie Ikenye.

She's good.

Komla is back at 5am tomorrow morning at Olympic Park. Naga Munchetty will be there Wednesday onwards.

Perhaps my answer was a little snappy - but I was just trying to demonstrate that sometimes you can spend a few minutes reading rather than asking a question that's either been answered already, or pretty self-evident.

While BBC World News studio is being used by BBC London news, World news continues as normal in N8 during this time, 'Focus On Africa' with I think Sophie Ikenye.

Strange, Harry. They're using WNT stings, beds and vamps. However, main open and close music is generic BBC World. I wonder why mix it up?

Only a guess here, but I'm assuming the close - like the titles - has visuals? If so, those are likely fired by the director/vision mixer, whereas the beds and stings (audio only) will be fired by the sound mixer using SpotOn. The sound mixer probably just has the WNT SpotOn page open as usual with all the assorted bits of music. Maybe no-one's told him/her to use the generic World News music instead?
