World has gone Olympics crazy. New titles, new countdown, new set. Ross Atkins presenting now solo, without support from main set. It will probably be like that all day long, except for the morning slot when they do press review in the main set. Sport Today is also done from the Olympics location.

The view is amazing, love the red sofa.

New series in August: Mishal Husain Meets . Starts 28 July.

Mishal Husain Meets is an exciting new series that goes beneath the outer shell of Asian personalities, from entrepreneurs, artists and actors to opinion formers and sports people. Filmed in Singapore in front of a live audience, Mishal Husain, one of the BBC’s most experienced and respected presenters, is hosting the series of one on one interviews with Asia's most interesting, celebrated and controversial personalities.

You can see a few reflections on this shot, and they got quite bad/obvious at around 0555hrs when I switched on just before Breakfast - and after the sun had risen. Might need a little bit of tweaking.

The Sport bits on Breakfast (using the NC temporary Olympics studio) didn't suffer any of those problems. Both of the studios do have a stunning view, and the balcony bit where Carol did the weather from is a neat additional location.

I'm impressed.

Just for some set comparisons, this is the BBC News Channel's studio overlooking the Olympic Park.

First broadcast from the NC's Olympic studio. They certainly have a great view.

Like the titles but the world set looks a bit awkward, don't know why!

George Alagiah appears to be in a different studio than Ros was... perhaps Ros was in the BBC London studio and now George and probably whoever presents the 1-2 hour will be in the spare studio before they move back in to the BBC London Studio for the afternoon?

Mishal now in the same studio George was. Sport updates are still done from the morning studio. I wish they would use it more, it has a far better view.

That's Lund Point directly to the right of the stadium - and the little black box on top is World's studio!
