Why did Lyse present The Hub from the news desk today? Has this happened before? I'm sorry if it has.

Because Nik probably couldn't fill in. Usually GMT is presented by some other presenters like Stephen Sackur and Jonathan Charles.

I think SN2005 was aiming more at the desk situation rather than the presenter

Yeah, I thought the same. I assumed The Mini Desk itself was The Hub, so was surprised to see Lyse presenting from the main oval desk.

Maybe she didn't want to show off her Manolo's!

I'm so disappointed with BBC WN, even after World News Today they did not immediately carry the Toyota Hearing...
while all all news channels, including NHK World TV and BBC News Channel is carying it.

Christ, don't tell the BBC, otherwise we will have another inquiry on our hands.
