Sports World Have Your Say is advertised on my local EPG for tonight. I thought the programme was canned when Amanda Davies left?
Is it still on?
Edit: and Tim is still in N9 today. How will they accommodate the pretend "remote" guests on Sports World Have Your Say, those who normally occupy the pod? No pod in N9?
This video might be of interest to some - some 12 minutes of footage from the early years of BBC World (or BBC World Service Television as it was then) in 1992. Interesting to see Pamela Armstrong (formerly of ITN) presenting the news!

BBC Asia studio, with Pamela Armstrong? How can I not remember this? Where is this studio, Rob?
Isn't it just the BBC World Service News studio, with its output just going out on a channel called BBC Asia? I don't think the BBC did a separate BBC Asia news channel with its own studio at that time. If I'm right, then I think that's the period when BBC WSTV used N3 and converted office space. It had originally come from N1 and eventually moved back there in 1993, where it stayed until 1998.
I remember in 1996 and 1997, there was an Asian service which broadcast a daily news programme on BBC World during the flags era. It was a BBC output and was branded as BBC, with the same music, set and graphics, etc.
But was broadcast in Urdu or Hindi. Can't quite remember.
I always assumed that this particular daily newscast was being broadcast from Delhi or Kuala Lumpur or somewhere.
I guess it could well have been from London?? Can you recall the one?
All of a sudden, we are being bombarded on a daily basis with trailers for GMT with George Alagiah, which heavily profiles George himself.
I wonder if this signifies a more permanent move to BBC World News for George??
Otherwise, why would they suddenly start playing this as heavily as they are? None of the other Main presenters are being advertised in this manner at present.
Surely it can't be long before they start to trail Komla's new "Focus on Africa" programme before its launch? Will be interesting to see graphics, music etc!
