Welcome back, Adam.
Furthermore, it was nice to see Lyse Doucet presenting Impact on a Monday, and speaking English, French, Persian and Arabic in the process!
I don't think N8 has ever had so many languages spoken within a five minute segment before.

5am, 6am and 7am (the old 'The World Today' slot)
3pm and 6pm (at least, it was, before daylight savings changes, if I remember rightly last summer it was 1pm and 4pm but I haven't watched recently to find out)
10pm and 12am (The ones presented by Mike Embley and Tanya Beckett)
OK UK time 00:00 Mon to 00:00 Saturday , what hours do they use the main desk in N8 for a 'BBC World News' titled bulletin?

Or, to simplify, the main oval newsdesk is used for ALL news broadcasts from BBC World News, EXCEPT the following:
Mon to Fri: 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am hours. (Usually presented by David Eades or Geeta Guru-Murthy)
Mon to Fri: 5pm and 6pm hours (The Hub, presented from a stand-up podium position, usually with Nik Gowing)
(All times London.)
The only other occasion when the side pod is used for a world news bulletin instead of the main desk is on a rare Saturday afternoon perhaps once every 3 months and for two hours only, whilst there is maintenance or other programming ongoing in N6, and Dateline London has to decamp to N8. Whilst the main N8 desk is being run-up and run-down for the temporary Dateline visitors, the World News will be read from the Eades Pod!
Clear as mud?

It was nice to see "Martin Patience - Beijing Correspondence" in the studio with Mishal Husain on Impact just now.
Must be a new take on the title.

There was some chatter about the new HD graphics that we'll be getting for WN when we get the move to BH where they'll (finally) drop the Gill Sans... am I right in assuming the animation will be something along the lines of this?

'Cause that's nice. Reeeeeal nice.

Excuse me? Am I the only one in thinking this makes no sense at all?
