They seem to have managed to get the link to Singapore sorted, although to me it seems like it could have been recorded - just doesn't seem to be the same as normal.
Another report that couldn't be played just now, I could understand once, but twice in the space of 30 minutes seems a bit much.
And another this time, though this was an odd one. Video played with no problem, and what I will describe as the 'background audio' of the report was audible - the woman speaking in her native language, the sound of putting food in the shopping basket - but the reporter couldn't be heard, and there was no translator for the woman despite that audio dipping. Is the audio for reports handled separately even by then time they're going to air?
Quick, odd question: Could the satellite problems this week this week be linked to the Solar storm this week, which had the potential to screw up GPS and satellite services?

The sun is getting back at Newsday for its cheap representation in the title sequence.

I'm pretty sure we'll all be fine its just American news networks who are going histerical over this...
Actually the Sun doesnt feature at all in the Newsday titles... you have to strain your eyes a bit, but it is in fact a globe.
Just what is going on with their satellite link to Singapore this week? This is becoming ridiculous. Didn't help that a report on Chinese ministers' cars just failed, either. I just hope we don't end up with fifteen minutes of Kasia padding if they don't get back for Asia Business Report...

no.
I thought the links to and from London seemed far too prompt to be Satellite - there's usually a much larger delay on them. I can't imagine you'd want a bulletin co-produced between two locations linked only be satellite. So any ideas why the 'line''s been going down so frequently this week?
