Woops, looks like I didn't take into account the different time zones (slaps himself). I wonder if they could have a different tower just for UK satellite viewers, perhaps that would work?

Given it's not legal to watch the channel in the UK, very unlikley
Right just to clear up a few things:
BBC World, The BBC's International channel streaming International News and Factual programming. Not funded or in any supported by the license fee.
BBC News 24, The BBC's rolling news channel for domestic viewers, heavily supported by the license fee streaming rolling news.
Right now here the clue to remember it: BBC World, around the World. News 24, 24 hours around the UK.
The clues in the title.

You make it sound illegal for UK viewers to watch World when it isn't really as it's broadcast FTA.
Now watching BBC Prime in the UK would be illegal.
Adrian Finnighan just said after an ad-break, "Putting news first - you're with BBC World". Since when is the new ad-campain also used during the news?
I heard this last week... and Its only him I have heard saying it. all the bulletins with him that I have watched over the last week he has been saying 'Putting News First this is BBC World the headlines' at the bottom of the hour. it doesnt sound bad

People can still watch it with Sky Analogue and via other means.

I think you're confused between watching World on Hotbird and watching it on Sky Digital. It would be illegal for BBC World to be broadcast as a part of the Sky Digital package, directed at a domestic audience. However, it is quite legal to put up a dish facing Hotbird and watch World FTA.

The BBC doesn not have a licence to broadcast BBC World in the UK, so technically it is not legal for viewers to watch it in the UK. Just as it is not legal for viewers in Europe to watch BBC1 off Astra. The numbers watching however are so small that the law is not enforced
I haven't seen Mark Edo for ages, not sure where he has gone.....Darshini seems to be doing a pretty good job as far as I am aware - she is steady and easy to listen to. I have seen from Travelmole that Aaron Heslehurst has his own website. It is pretty neat. (www.aarontv.com).....hope he is not doing other things and that we get to see him again soon. It is pretty hard to keep up with who is the main WBR presenter at the moment.
Is anyone watching Asia Today at the moment? They have changed the camera shots. Very good IMO. The presenter has alway been looking quite uncomfortable in the past because he/she had to turn his/her head to look into the camera. Now however it seems fine.
