Well I have seen two, just before the news and they are of correspondents, one with a women i'm not sure of and one with John Simpson. Now I quite like the one with John because he takes us around his house showing equipment and belongings he used and found while reporting from around the world. I actually quite like the ads. Now I read about the campaign on BBC World Insite before we saw it adverstised on the TV. Heres the link to find out about BBC Worlds Campaign...Global Consumer Advertising 2005 - 2006 - Creative rationale
Whilst on a college trip in France, I was watching BBC World. I have to say the channel is good, but I would suggest these improvements.
- Have a more in depth sports bulletin within the half hour (business coverage much better!)
- Have a time on the tower (Would be really helpful!)
- Return those thunder claps after each headline (i.e. like the one used at start of headlines)
Most of the time the titles have been showing "BBC News" logo instead of headline story round the globe. Anybody know why?
Not sure if anyone saw this, but the other day (was on Wednesday) there was a cockup on the Breakfiller, where they were playing one audio clip over another!

Yes I also noticed this, I was watching the news with Mike Embley and it took them awhile to cut him off and he was looking confused because he notciced that he was still on, and this went on for at least 30-45 seconds.
They also played two breakfillers, although obviously we could only see one of them and hear the other. I thought it was just my hearing of the music from the start but when they show programme promos on it I knew there was something wrong
Has anyone noticed that before Sport and Business on the BBC World News that they have used the shot on the right hand side.. like the crap shot I have below?? I think it looks quite good.
=p to you too, what would be the point of that exactly? I mean you'd have to add up or subtract your timezone, plus I'd expect World loses several seconds as it goes around the world and is bounced off so many transmitters and satellites so it wouldn't even be accurate. You might as well build a sundial into the desk.
Woops, looks like I didn't take into account the different time zones (slaps himself). I wonder if they could have a different tower just for UK satellite viewers, perhaps that would work?
Adrian Finnighan just said after an ad-break, "Putting news first - you're with BBC World". Since when is the new ad-campain also used during the news?

I heard this last week... and Its only him I have heard saying it. all the bulletins with him that I have watched over the last week he has been saying 'Putting News First this is BBC World the headlines' at the bottom of the hour. it doesnt sound bad
