Does anyone know if the current use of Darshini David and Aaron Heslehurst on Biz News and WBR is to continue as a permanent replacement for Dominic di Natale, or is the latter likely to return in a freelance capacity? I haven't seen much of him at all in his supposed new move to Sky News.
Managed to catch a few episodes of Business Today (??) on News 24 in the UK last week, double headed with Kate Noble in NYC and Manisha Tank in London. I know I've said it several times, but I feel that Manisha Tank should move onto news presentation. She is developing into an excellent and highly watchable broadcaster and is probably worthy of more news exposure on BBC World. More use could be made of Jamie Robertson as a Biz News presenter as a replacement for Manisha.
Why not have Mishal Hussain back presenting WBR? I cannot currently see a slot for her to return to on World, unless the currently much utilised David Jessel will do fewer bulletins.
Peter Coe - bring him back too. Where has he gone?

I'm not sure what they'll do with Mishal Husain. When she was in Washington between 2002 and 2003, Adrian Finighan took her place, just like Mike Embley has done this time round, and he, like Mike, made it pretty much his own. However, Adrian was moved back to weekends to make way for Mishal again, so maybe it will happen this time?
On another note, expect to see more of Geeta Guru-Murthy presenting the news now that she's returned from maternity leave. She's a permanent staff newscaster, and so has to be found four shifts per week. With all these newscasters BBC World has, I don't know how they're going to do it! I guess that's the reason she did an evening shift last weekend.
Regarding Peter Coe, he was dropped from News 24/World around the time the Iraq war commenced in March 2003. I don't seem to recall him being on since then. I remember he used to share weekday lates (2300-0100) with Peter Dobbie on News 24, and he also had a Sunday afternoon shift after Brenda Paterson, IIRC.

Just watched last hours bulletin and they had a shot from news to sport and it was from the right of the Martine and it looked very good. I hope they can continue this.

Moreover I hate the shot used when the news presenter introduces the business one because we see the business presenter almost from behind, which is nonsense. Wouldn't a shot from the right of the news presenter be much better?

Yes, I saw the left-hand shot on a bulletin yesterday. Seems they have dropped the uncomfortable right-hand shot.

I wish they did to but I just saw David handing it back to Nisha and they used the 'uncomfortable' right hand shot again. I just can't understand why they use that shot and why they keep changing it.

Seems to me that the very lovely and charming Darshini David has taken the leadership of the daytime business news. She is sometimes replaced by an annoying guy named Mark dont-remember-his-surname and very very rarely by Aaron Heselhurst (I saw him a couple of times anchoring from the London Stock Exchange).
I think Manisha Tank could easily present news bulletins, but I like her on WBR, in particular during the double headed editions.
I'd love to see Mishal Husain back on world.
