BBC World News is now being presented by Manisha Tank , yippee! Very Happy

There she is. And she is presenting quite well. Very strange seeing both Manisha and Aaron Heselhurst.

Where is she now? I just turned on and David Eades is presenting.

You just missed her. She handed back to separate BBC WORLD and N24 studios at 1620GMT.

And now David Eades in the evening. Who was presenting this morning?

I haven't seen Martine Dennis for a long time... In fact, she hasn't presented news from the new world studio, has she? Has she left the BBC, any ideas anyone?

They are making better use of the plasma on the opening shot, and I haven't seen the rendered titles in a while, but they came back this weekend, which is good.

Lyse Doucet has once again excelled anchoring from Sri Lanka. I was thinking that they may send Nik Gowing, as he is already doing trailers for the World Debate from New Delhi, unless those are pre-recorded.

However, I am glad that Lyse has been on air. She is an excellent and authoratitve broadcaster.

I always felt that it wold only be a matter of time before Manisha Tank graduated to presenting the News Bulletins on BBC World.

Can anyone confirm whether her recent stint was just a one-off, or the start of something more permanent?

As noted before, let's not forget that both Adrian Finighan and Mishal Hussein were presenters of WBR before being "promoted" to BBC World News presentation. Maybe Manisha is next in line for this.

(Although I do think that Aaron Heslehurst is just a touch too lively for the news............................before anyone has any ideas)
