Did any of you viewers outside of Britain or watching via the Internet notice that |B|B|C|WORLD| seems to have stopped using endcaps for its half-hour newscasts at the top of every hour? Or are they still using them??

I'll take this post as being at face value and suggest that it has been noticed and commented on several times earlier in this thread, which you may (in spite of its length) wish to read at your leisure.

Anyway, my question is being answered on another forum, thank you.

Zeinab presented The World last night. Given the usual wide view of the desk given, I was able to notice for the first time that Zeinab rolls her thumb over her fingers in a sort of nervous way at every syllable. She is obvioulsy doing it sub-consciously, but it became so noticeable that I just could NOT concentrate on the bulletin after noticing it.

Also, loved the introduction to WBR last night, which went something like " Welcome along here to another dose of daily business, live from the BBC in London, with me. I'm Manisha."

It was so informal, that it was actually very nice, although perhaps a little bit more rock-star-on-stage type prose!

There were no commercial breaks during several World News bulletins today, I noticed. Why is this?

Do you mean that your region had no breaks during the bulletin, or the OPT OUT points were still within the bulletin but your region staryed with news output throughout???

There were two breaks in every programme today. If you didn't see them it means streaming is working Very Happy

Here in the Middle East, we have several opt outs, including one major one during the business segment. However, timing is always abysmal, and we usually either opt out too early, or come back too soon, and clearly see and hear something that we shouldn't see towards the end of the biz news. (usually the last two words from Aaron or Darshini).

Where has Dominic di Natale gone?

I saw him last week at the London Stock Exchange during WBR last week during the moring for me in New Zealand.. Im not sure if it was a World Business Report or and Asia Business Report as because here in New Zealand we get the Asia Programming which means our days UKs night are filled with alot of Asia Today or Asia Biz Report... So anyway Domin di Natale is still around.

In Europe there are just a few commercial breaks and all has been working quite well for several days... Hope that Dominic di Natale has gone away forever, I really can't stand him.

Really? I quite like him, he has quite a relaxed style to his presenting as do most BBC News Business presenters now that I think about it which is different to the other networks so it makes a refreshing change. You should watch what you say about him as well since he did post on this forum for a while and possibly still keeps an eye on it!

I don't know why but when I see him I feel the need of switch the tv off. Very different is when I see my beautiful, charming, enchanting Darshini David. I would like her to tell me about business news 24 hours a day. Does anyone know anything about her?
