In Canada, BBC World does not sell ad time. When the new system was implemented a few weeks ago, we saw no breaks during the news (including TWT where we got the UK news summary), but as of this week, they seem to be opting us out for every break so we can watch the breakfiller. Is this a system mistake, as I don't want to have the stupid filler cutting in for no reason?
BBC World users are invited to register and record their comments online and to take part in regular surveys and questionnaires specifically on viewing and programming issues.
BBC LDN - I'm really surprised you're still reading this. If you live in the UK and don't like what you read on this forum anyway, it's understandable that you are annoyed by the repeated remarks.. but the reason for the sames moans here is that, I guess, people are very surprised (on an ongoing basis) that things haven't improved.
Right now the main issue for most BBC World viewers here is bound to be the quality of the news bulletins (technically and editorially) now that it's all been cut into chunks... and the structure of the programme's ending, whilst secondary, is still something that makes a big difference to those who like to watch "the news" rather than something that acts as if it's a rolling news service but then stops for half an hour.
As my posting re the Brasil feed and the one above re Canada show, the "continuous newsroom" move isn't working correctly in at least two territories since there are now more fillers than ever - and whilst stopping frequently for ad breaks is understandable on a commercial channel, stopping to show you the same filler promos every few minutes isn't.. especially if the presenter is still actually sitting there reading news at that time!!

It's not that difficult to get BBC WORLD in the UK - it's just not available on any multichannel platforms. I don't see why my living in the UK should affect my capacity to make a judgement, given that I watch WORLD daily. I'm also lost as to how you've concluded that I "don't like what [I] read on this forum anyway"; if I didn't like anything on this forum, I wouldn't return. I judge each comment that I read on its merits. Only when I am exasperated by obtusely foolish comments do I voice any disdain.
Thank you for clarifying what was painfully obvious in explaining that people only continue to complain because they don't like how things are. Still, that does rather ignore the harsh reality that complaining about the same things over and over again is not only spectacularly dull, but achieves nothing unless you're complaining to the people that can actually change it.
Perhaps you find it fascinating to read dozens of successive posts of "the presenter just got cut off again!" and "they really need to bring back the proper stings"; I don't.
For fetishists of the 'old' BBC WORLD, British viewers were treated to a fleeting glance of the previous WORLD studio on BBC TWO mockumentary 'The Man Who Broke Britain'.

BBC News on BBC World (or BBC World News, can anyone tell me what the real title is of this program) actually still is the same program as before, only with more or less ad breaks. Instead off a "real" sign off (to be fair, "That's all, for now" isn't really one either) but having a statement that you should stay with the channel and a fade to black as ending makes it more a part of the channel, which, you know, it is. It doesn't act a rolling news service but does act as the first half hour of an hour of the channel, which, again, it is...
World has been using the new animation to opt into bulletins - the music doesnt even match up with the sequence
they should just use the break sting - without the logos and it would be fine. Why they continue to go with the current animation, who knows, but maybe marcus can speak to his insider friends about it.
