Err...No I don't work there. Someone sent them to me ages ago, and I promised him at the time I wouldn't go putting them online (plus there is the copyright issue).

Yes there is a copyright issue which you are probably in breach of yourself for obtaining them. What is is with people putting up the famous line ive got them but you cant have them. ITS JUST A WASTE OF FORUM SPACE. WE DONT NEED TO KNOW!

There is a differance between being sent them for personal use etc, and putting them on a public forum.

Indeed there is. But he has put them on a public forum, granted not in full but he has posted them in the form of a mock up.

His message was in reply to someone who had asked him for them. It was good of him to even reply.

Some of you really are unbelievably childish.

I happend to catch The World Today on Wednesday morning, and thought "that opening is a bit iffy". So I quickly recorded a 10 second v/o, slapped it onto an audio file I had of TWT, and posted it online to demonstrate my point.

It didn't even cross my mind that I would be so perniciously attacked for posting what now seems to be the holy grail of sad anoraks - clean BBC music. For goodness sake, some of you really need to grow up a little bit.

I would happily post all the music I have online, but there are serious copyright issues with doing so, and Asa would also be forced to remove it, for it is protected by international copyright.

So just take the audio file I posted, comment upon what my original post was about (using voiceovers instead of name-checks on BBC News), and stop being such petty little freaks.

Some of you should be off going out chasing girls, rather than being logged onto the Internet 24/7, patrolling forums such as this one. Now f*ck off, little kiddies.

The World Today
Earlier this week I wrote this...

The World Today posted:
I really don't see the point of this shot and the plasma graphic....

http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/4_copy3.jpg

They are framing for the plasma but feeding the plasma with a graphic based on the wall behind it, this is a pointless waste of a plasma and they may as well just stay on an MCU as we're not gaining anything from this shot. Why can't they use a 'The World Today' full frame graphic in there? Also this business of presenting WBR from 'The World' set is rubbish, I really don't like it - I mean why spend all that money on a new set but present half of the days output from an old, badly lit box at the end of the newsroom or 'The World' set as its known.

And they dropped the plasma shot and changed it to a mid-shot....

Then I wrote this a day later about the way the programme ends...

The World Today posted:
The two-way boxes are badly desinged, the font doesn't match the font of the titles and it seems crazy to split them up when they are in the same damn studio.

And for the last two days the boxes have been dropped too...

Now I'm not saying they read the forum, BUT it seems bloody likely that they (BBC World big cheese that is) are FINALLY taking notice of things we're saying on here!

So I'll try again - Wouldn't it a be a good idea to bring back the business presenter for the two shot goodbyes on The World Today, the programme would wrap up a little better and would make sense as they would be in position for the next hour too.

The World Today

I couldn't agree more with your comments and suggestions. It is a little but messy and disjointed at the goodbyes just now, and a little bit bizarre, given that the two presenters are - in reality - only twenty feet or so away from each other (I stand to be corrected on this, but you will all know what I mean).

Not that it's the most important thing or really matters, but I am intrigued how the newscasters who have been presenting during the mid-afternoon onwards shift up to 8pm GMT appear to only have two neck ties between them. Nik Gowing wears the same one every day, and his replacement for the last two days (David Jessel) has worn the same one now two day in a row. Perhaps he sleeps in the newsroom.

Given the recent time change (clocks went back), I am now London +4, so I don't get to see Manisha and Tanya's WBR anymore, as it's way past my bedtime. (Alas). However, where does Manisha present this segment from - is it from the Newsdesk, or The World desk? Just curious.

Manisha is actually developing (IMO) into quite a good presenter, and seems to be very comfortable in her role, presenting the Prime Time Biz News.

Final question of the day - where has Dominic di Natale gone?

Bye for now,
James

Yaloh

The cock-up was that they said goodbye (David Jessel) to go to the weather, but the camera lingered on him (head on shot) for around seven seconds, whilst he stared at it. Eventually, he glanced down to his monitors for another few seconds, mics still on, and eventually we cut away to an overhead shot showing David and Jamie Robertson still sitting at the newsdesk, sound still on, for a good five to seven seconds again. Given mics were on and no sting was played, there was very little that they could do, except shuffle papers and fiddle with keyboards. Eventually, we were treated to a black screen for half a minute, no weather and then straight into the headlines again with Jessel, before going to HardTalk or something. (Can't quite recall).

It's been a long time now that these errors and glitches have been ongoing (three to four weeks). Come on British Broadcasting Corporation!! You are not regional telly now, or the Shopping Channel, are you? Let's get it sorted.

The Biggest Fan - the link you gave us is in Russian language and appears to be advertising home stereos or cars?? Is there something else that I am missing pertaining to BBC World Television News? Not being cheeky, just can't understand Russian. Sorry.

Cheerio for now.

Haiz. Was thinking about how great the 'classic' BBC World is, with the "wings"- like titles
