Not long to go now... The World Today is just 45 minutes away!
The new BBC World desk and newsroom look is very similar to BBC News 24. They are using the same theme of red and white.
Hopefully we wil see the new look at 0500 GMT when The World Today begins... I wonder if the presenters will make reference to the new look?

It's 08:47 here in Dubai and hence only 13 minutes away from the top of the hour and TWT. I am stuck at my bloomin' desk again, so will miss the first broadcasts from the new set. Hope someone will be kind enough to post some images as soon as they're captured. Would greatly appreciate that.
By the time I get home tonight, Nik Gowing will be on shift. Sigh..........!
(Yes, Ben Brown was good on BBCW yestetday. But, he's presented BBC World News loads of times over the last eight years. He used to be quite a regular in the flags era, as well as 1999-2002.)

Well the new set is with us! As mentioned earlier it is just like the BBC News 24 set.

Haven't seen it yet, but really wished they had gone for a departure from the current themes used on N24 and network.
Oh well, will have a look at it later. Can you post some stills?
Who are the presenters? Any changes to stings/music/astons, etc?
