No closing titles, news reminder on the half-hour, a rolling news feel....... so it's now News 24 with (many) breaks? And the set might look just like News 24, complete (as someone else said) with standy-up area for the x:30 summary.
Just think back to the earliest days of this forum....... much lusting after BBC World, much derision of News 24. I certainly never thought there'd be such a polar shift in the opinions on both! Back in 2000 on World, there was a fantastic new graphics and music package, a lovely set, and the big four of Gowing, Finhigan, Cole and Hayton nice and regular*. Ah, days past....
* yes, yes, plenty of fruit and vegetables.

I must say that although I can see where and why the difficulties arose, I'm still not happy with the idea. Three breaks in half an hour is far too much, and it makes the bulletin feel disjointed. The lack of a proper close also looks odd. In terms of presentation fans, it's a disaster. They've stripped the channel of everything bar the titles and one sting! Even the channel idents seem to have disappeared now!
