I don't think BBC World would want the cameras facing the new set incase they cut to the wrong feed.

Although people have said earlier in this thread that they've been watching the building of the new set on the studio output.

I tried to select it earlier but I could only find a temporary fault caption with moving background Smile

Interesting, if only us commoners could access a World studio output feed.

Fake?! These windows are fake?! Heavens, I would have sworn they were real! But then again: what is real in todays newsrooms?

Sadly not even the BBC can afford to have a studio in that sort of location! It does look quite good though.

It looks very good indeed. That's why I thought the windows were real. Wink

Asia Today at 1230 GMT appears to be zoomed in? The World logo was out of place and a transparent one was at the correct position and Lucy Hockings appear to be Stretched Confused

Poor Quality I know. I do also have an image on a angle shot from the cieiling looking directly on to the set and this shows exactly how big the desk is. There is something I like about this desk and I think it would be good if BBC World had a desk simliar to this and giving it the N24 style.

This desk fits 4 people but the most you will ever see is 3.

What do you think of this desk Confused:

Yes on Saturday night... Afternoon for UK viewers I noticed when Mike Embley was presenting at around 1400GMT the BBC World Tower was transparent and the red strip that wipes down at the beginning of the name aston was also slighlty transparent. Why is this?? I saw Kirsty Lang at her 1300GMT Bulletin when she said 'Your Watching BBC World' as soon as she said that she started to start sport and the Sport sting was playing. when she started she had a smile on her face. I thought it was quite funny. And at her 1500GMT Bulletin at the end she said a rather un-usual goodbye it went like this... "And thats all from the BBC newsroom... Its goodbye from me Kirsty Lang... Dateline London is next... Tune In." rather odd but it made me laugh i think she is a great presenter. And a First time for me seeing Nisha Pillai on Reporters.

Does anyone know when the new set will debut Confused:

Can you try to get clearer shots? And can you post the image of the set seen from above? Looks "futurisitc" to me... Is it this one? http://www.tvnz.co.nz/view/news_index_skin/news_index_group

And just to keep the list of faults going - the 0000GMT bulletin didn't use the BBC World Tower... It used News 24's one - complete with clock. It was most definitely a BBC World bulletin - complete with red World titles (before flicking to orange at the end).

As I noted a few pages ago, the use of Kirsty Lang on BBC World bulletins is going to become a more regular thing, and she won't just present The World.

It was nice to see Chris Lowe and Joanna Gosling on BBC World last night, simulcasting with N24. I think they must have had to vacate the National studio to allow the Sunday evening network bulletin on BBC1 be broadcast.

I am surprised at the loads of errors that occurred on World in the last couple of days. However, I am sure that all will be back to normal soon.

Was this directed at me? How can I get clearer shots because I only have a very cheap Camera Phone. the link you provided is the one related to the news programme on TVNZs tv ONE channel.. When you use the term futuristic what do you mean by this. (I'm not very good with these sort of words Embarassed )

So do you like it?? tv One have 4 Different news programmes throughout the day these are. ONE NEWS BREAKFAST (this is during the morning from 6 to 9am, they are ten minute bulletins each half hour during there business and breakfast show) ONE NEWS MIDDAY (at 12pm for half an hour) ONE NEWS (6pm runs for an hour) ONE NEWS TONIGHT (runs for 35mins around 10:30ish) each new show has the same studio but changes the light colour of the glass panels ie. blue at night and orange/yellow during the day) the business programme in the morning uses the same set but the lights are black and yellow. WELL theres a bit of useless information for every one.

as you can see on the CSO backdrops are different in morning they use one side of the newsroom in the evening they use another view of the newsroom and on there TONIGHT edition they have a different backdrop of a city each night.!!!
