British Summer Time is now over. I used to see TWT at 0800hrs here in Dubai during the summer (3 hours ahead of the UK). Now I see it at 0900hrs (or rather miss it at 0900hrs, given that I am in the office by that time).
Jane Dutton was used very sparingly when they were real short of staff.
It was good to see two BBC Newscasters out in the field doing reports, in the last couple of days. (Huw Edwards somewhere in Ohio ((?)), proved that he is far better as a reporter than a presenter. Lucy Hockings did a report on Sunday from the French Countryside, about wine production. That's why Anya Sitaram was sitting in for her on BBC World I guess.)
There was a slight error last night in the BBC World News at 8pm London time last night, presented by Katty Kay (Washington) and Nik Gowing (London). They accidentally showed a News 24 bumper in between films, instead of the usual BBC World one.
What a sad man I am, noticing things like that.....................
Finally, didn't Nisha Pillai look good last night, with her hair tied back and presenting BBC World News. The temporary studio actually looks quite good I think.

It first ran at midday yesterday and will run every time there is a Co Pres with World or a sequence presented from Washington.

The 2100 TOTH was the first time I've seen a proper "US ELECTION 2004" title sequence on N24 - was that the first showing or have I just missed previous outings?

Noticed that with the 11pm bulitten on News 24 and World last night, the first half was shared between the two channels (including the first half of the headline sequence) presented by the same presenter in Washington. The same US Election titles were used by both stations. After about 15 minutes they both opted back to their own seperate studios for the rest of the days news.
I know News 24 and World hook up regularly for full bulittens, but I've never seen it done for a segement of a bulitten - never mind a segement of a headline sequence - before...

It happens quite a lot when there is a major international story. It was certainly a regular occurrence during the Iraq war.
The giveaway is that the presenter on location will always say "now back to you in London" rather than namechecking the presenter.
