There is a floor manager during the week who passes scripts to the presenter, looks after studio guests etc. However, at weekends there is no floor manager - the presenter has to do it all themselves. As harshy said, the cameras are operated from the gallery by the director (who, by the way, has to do a hell of a lot more!).

Must be sorta lonely to present the news for a few hours with nobody there. Is there a ,anager there or something?

My God, he's becoming omnipresent, he has also presented World News Today...! His dramatic presentation style is definitely unique but I really like it.

Yay! Jonathan Charles on The World Today this morning, very good he is and I liked it introduction! Although he spreads his arms out a bit to much.

Thanks for making this clear, once I saw a guy handing over scripts to the presenter (the camera was still running) and I mistoke him for a camera man, not
knowing there's a floormanager.
