Lyse Doucet is still in the News 24 studio. I wonder what they're going to do from 0900 GMT, when News 24 need their studios back.

I would guess that either their own studio will be ready, OR they'll be down to the National News studio. With the election almost upon us, they are going to need something a little more permanent. Great to see Lyse in the N24 studio though.

What about News 24? National Studio? I am certain Lyse is presenting a World Bulletin. Everything from titles to plasma graphics, are BBC World's...

Yes, it is a bulletin that is only broadcast on BBC World. News 24 is still simulcasting Breakfast with BBC One. But this is going to end at 0900 GMT, so News 24 will need their studios back by this time. BBC World however will definitely be in a different studio at 0900.

The BBC 4 set is in the World newsroom. So, if they're doing significant changes to that newsroom the BBC 4 set will be unavailable.

Well, they've changed the weather titles. The bulletin after the 0800GMT was sponsored by the Maldives. Not sure whther this will apply to every bulletin.

So you mean the very bulletin coming up next after this will be in a different studio then?

They won't have done anything significant yet. Don't expect a new set today!

Of course they will have. They'll have worked on it all weekend, round the clcok. World is going to need its base this week, I beg to differ, and think they'll be home sooner than you think.

My guess is that it will be at LEAST a week before the new set in the World Newsroom is ready.

They will probably use the national studio when that is not being used, and use the "The World" set at times when neither the National or N24 studio is occupied. That means that the temporary works going on to revamp BBC World news set will be suspended each day around 1300 / 1800 / 2200 hrs London time to allow BBC National News to be broadcast.

Thinking back, I recall that it took CNNI at least 3 weeks to revamp their current news presentation set, and it took BBC N24 around three weeks to also do theirs. Therefore, given the physical work involved and the interruptions for live broadcasting, I cannot see how all of this could ever be completed in such a short space of 3 days (unless Carol Smillie or Laurence Llewellyn Bowen are lurking around the BBC World News Room.................anyone spotted them???)

Seems strange that WORLD has opted to do this at the time of the US Elections???? Unless, they will work a miracle and have it all done by tomorrow? Or perhaps they will heavily use their Washington and New York studios?????
