While we're on the subject of business presenters, does anyone know what's happened to Jane Sinclair? She was a regular business presenter on the daytime shift (0800-1700), but disappeared a few months ago. Recently, it's been Aaron, Dominic Di Natale, or Angela Garvey. I hope Jane hasn't left BBC World, as she was very good.
When will they do something with the set though? I know this has been asked a million times, but that "split" desk is looking aged. Hope they can retain the same spot in the newsroom (and not go virtual and proejectionist like N24 and BBC1) but update the desk and the plasma retaining pillars.
Well stay tuned, you never know what may happen in the next few months.
By the way one piece of World Furniture made it's last apperance today, so changes are afoot

Jane Sinclair has left the BBC and the Country. I believe she now lives, with her husband and Sport presenter Glen Hicks, in British Columbia.
Marcus, could you give us a clue about what piece of forniture was removed from the studio? have you heard if the studio will be completelly re-design ?

Keep an eye out from Monday - you'll probably notice which piece of furniture has disappeared.

So if it has made its last appearance today and the new one will appear on Monday - are we getting a temporary set over the weekend? Will the news come from N6? Or will they simply be presenting without that "piece of furniture" over the weekend (if that is possible)?

Don't get too excited - if I'm right in what I think it is, then it's only a minor piece of furniture! Don't expect drastic changes next week!

Calm down Calm down. Don't get to excited. Nothing major is changing this week. See if you can spot the change Monday morning
No, the desk is still there. I have just finished watching a very sombre and black oufitted Anita presenting from it, in stark contrast to the garish outfit worn by Lucy Hockings who did the preceding shift.
I can only imagine that the chrome barrier/railings behind the presenters desk will be removed. That is the only subtle item they have remaining to be honest.
The other items (plasmas, pillars, desks) are all too signficant to be termed subtle.
Although I did notice Zeinab presenting on Friday night from a rather jazzy, new space age type chair (resembling those in an aircraft cockpit). She seemed to be relishing leaning back in the chair, just as much as she did tearing shreds from her Sudanese Compatriot whilst interviewing him in New York (The Sudan's UN Ambassador to New York).
Alas, let's wait and see what it is on Monday. I haven;t noticed anything thus far.
On the subject of Keshini and Geeta, anyone know where they are?
