Three years is a VERY long time to wait for a relaunch, especially in the fast moving world of TV!
Indeed...if they had waited for three years, they would have had that newsroom and set for 7 years virtually unchanged (the desk was changed to the current one in c.2001 I think) -- that's a year longer than BBC One had the virtual era, and that seemed to last forever!
In terms of looking into the future, I doubt we'll see a completely new News 24 studio before the move, as by then it will only be 4 years old, still a year behind the 1999-2003 look, but I wonder if there will be modifications? If anything is going to change, it'll probably be the titles and graphics. They may not be completely overhauled again in the next three years, but I'd put money on them being tweaked in some way! The musical element is probably also likely to change, given that BBC World News has had a new music package every two years since 1998! I wonder if they'll break the pattern and stay with this one till the move?

I would like to know why the BBC would want to bother changing the BBC WORLD set, and related studios / offices when in just 3 years time they will be moving to new, spacious and purpose built facilities at BBC Broadcasting House?
