See that looks a lot better then the rubbishy frosted background it is on now, I agree David Jessel is very boring, I turn over too.

I would say I still prefer this newsroom backdrop. The pillars just compliment the presenter!
Well, BBCWORLD, Alistair Yates?

Hello Guys,
In actual fact, BBC World spent quite a few weekends in the national studio and also in the "floorspace" now occupied by The World, WBR and Sport Today.
This all occurred when the BBC World Newsroom and Studio was undergoing a revamp into the current look. IIRC, the whole process took around 3 weekends.

Sigh..........as always, you are right Joel. It is a lovely, neat and tidy shot, and isn't the anchor just one of the best in the business????
I love the mixture of sheer elegance and super intelligence, personified so perfectly by Ms Zeinab Badawi............
God, this wine is good, Joel. Hic! Alamos. 2004. Argentinian Chardonnay. By Catena Zapata. AED35 at Dubai Duty Free. (a fiver in your money.........third glass and it's wonderful......will send you a bottle (case)........)
Now, onto more serious matters, isn't Eamonn Holmes just rubbish!! (Oh, sorry......

I shall await for the postman, and given his usual performance, scowl alot.
It was a great set-up, very neat, tidy and like you said intelligent. The aston looks superb and the studio, well thats in a league of it's own. Indeed, sigh.. Oh and the desk - what a brilliant little feature!
Ahh, Mr Holmes. I have a serious problem with someone who can present the jet-set and then go onto to tell me about world famine, theres just something wrong with that, not to mention his woodling.
Ian Hyland, TV Critiic, so excellently put it - "He's Fat, He's Round and boundes on... the bank mangers desk." Don't see what Sky see in the man!
Oh and that IRA ad Sky are using (with Mr Holmes) makes me wanna hurl. "News People" - My Arse.
Oh, and James, I hope your not getting drunk there!

We all agree how good that old background looked. This morning while Janet Barrie was on air the background was different couse there was only that black wall with TV screens on it,without the red and white walls.
It was much better but I guess they only moved camera angle a bit couse later the old shot was back. The main difference between the old and new background is that the new one is not clean and symmetrical as teh old one.
