I think Anya Sitaram is dreadful, she just isn't freiendly enough, a bit cardboard like. Interesting to see a report from Lucy Hockings over the weekend from mid France. Has she been presenting this weekend???
As for Jake Lynch, I think we should probably send in a few emails to get him banned from Overnights, he really is the worst presenter they've ever used, more so than the now defunct Peter Coe.
http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/ws1.jpg At the top of the 5:00GMT bulletin, they had a wrong studio shot in an instant. If this is not recording, and as far as I see this picture, they are doing no modification for the studio.
I made it bright in Adobe Photoshop, looks like they've done erm.... nothing!
Maybe they're just moving technical things out of the newsroom into a temporary set as they did on News 24 last year. However I think a temporary set during the American elections isn't a good idea.

But the special edition is coming from Wahington isn't it?
Yes but I think they will have many live interviews/studio guests in London aswell. And doing this in a temporary set with split screens isn't a good idea IMO.

I notice a few weeks ago or something, there is two huge boxs hanging there. Did anyone of you noticed it? What are they for? I posted another picture to compare...
I would like to know why the BBC would want to bother changing the BBC WORLD set, and related studios / offices when in just 3 years time they will be moving to new, spacious and purpose built facilities at BBC Broadcasting House?

Three years is a VERY long time to wait for a relaunch, especially in the fast moving world of TV!
I see they've made some changes to the Washington studio. The news presenter (Jon Sopel at the moment) is now sitting at the other side of the desk and they've now added a plasma screen for interviews.
