Indeed, Lyse Doucet. Middle East Affairs Expert!

Peter Dobbie did not appear this weekend as he usually does - he did do a weekday shift one day last week. Haven't seen him since either.

Manisha Tank is now back in London, but doing the daytime Biz Slot, as opposed to the evening one she used to do (which is still being presented by Dharshini David).

why bbc world isnt broadcasting in widescreen via sattelits for europe? digital satellite viewers can choose format (4:3, 16:9) and in april 2006 bbc world wont continue in analog broadcasting for europe.

iI don't like the thin headline font, I prefer the thicker one, I thought they would take the opportunity to change the main BBC World titles but it still remains the same for now.

Looks like you're never going to get over that issue don't you?

Nah I just hate the inconsistancy, anyway I have got to resist speaking about the titles, it's does annoy me though! that's it I declare no more titles speak from me!

The next time I say it, please give me a good kickup the backside Wink

There are two differences in the TOG between BBC World and BBC News 24

1) The text in the black bit of the ticker is smaller on BBC World then it is on BBC News 24 where the size of the text matches the ticker

2) The black bit of the ticker remains 2D on BBC World, 3D on BBC News 24 with the back missing!

Please enlighten us, Jamej? I always thought that Manisha Tank was more widely recognised by the evening audience, and Dharshini vice versa by the daytime audience.

Why the change?

Harshy - thud!!! (That was me kicking you.) Wink

London was unable to broadcast the first 15 minutes of The World Today, this morning, and instead rather neatly replayed the previous TOTH bulletin presented by Alastair Yates.

Lucy Hocking then came on screen after 15mins and at the point of opt in, to apologise for the fault, and continue with the programme as normal.

Yes I saw that...I wondered why the clock said 4am...I thought I'd got up an hour early for work

Why would the clock have said 04:00? Even if the 0400 bulletin was playing out, the clock isn't burned on to the recordings; it's rendered live - so surely if you were watching the replay during The World Today, the clock would have said 05:00?

Manisha was on the early WBR this morning during The World Today.

Why doesn't Dharshini on Manisha replace Julia on News 24? I just can't like Julia.

A question I've asked many a time... Even Karman would be better... But hey, It's JULIA! Loud and proud.

Watching the different DOG's on BBC World, the transparent one has the old size BBC World DOG on it with bbcworld.com, the static red one also hasn't changed the size of the BBC World bit, only the BBC World Tower generated from TOG has changed the sizing of BBC World, talk about making a DOG's dinner out of it, now back in 2000 they only had one DOG right in the top left corner, ahh those were the days Cool
